Chimney Corner Beach is a sandy cove on the west coast of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, between Margaree Harbour and Inverness. Close to the Cabot Trail, it offers a peaceful setting for a walk along the sand and time by the sea.
Plan your visit
Come for a daytime visit and bring what you need, including drinking water and a bag to take your garbage home. There are no toilet facilities. Keep dogs on leash and stay off the surrounding cliffs, rocks and private lands.
The privately owned parking area is available for beach patrons only. Please follow the posted rules to help keep our community beach clean and welcoming.
Parking and beach rules
- Parking is open from dawn to dusk daily. No overnight parking. Violators will be towed.
- Keep our community beach clean. No littering; take all garbage out.
- There are no toilet facilities. Plan accordingly.
- No campfires or camping.
- No commercial activities.
- Dogs must be on leash.
Safety and private property
Use the parking area and beach at your own risk. The posted sign states that the owners are not responsible for theft of or damage to vehicles or their contents, or for accidents or injuries.
The lands around the sandy beach, including cliffs and rocks, are dangerous and are private property. Please keep out.
